“Creating Chickasaw leaders”

The Chickasaw Nation has implemented a new youth leadership program called Chikasha Apihchi Ikbi.  The program is available to Native American students ages 14-18.  Students will be presented with a 12 month leadership series designed specifically to provide youth with leadership opportunities and an understanding of different types of leadership and what it means to be a leader.  Students must maintain G.P.A. of 2.5 or better and attend scheduled leadership seminars and 75% of regular community meetings.

Participants must have valid CDIB card and be willing to sign a commitment form and photo consent form.  Students must be committed to setting a positive example for other young people to follow.  In addition participants will conduct monthly meetings, host fundraisers and perform community service projects within their respective communities.
